All-wood (no gesso) frame, hand carved in Mexico between the 1930s - 1950s. Carved with decorative scrolls and scalloped flourishes. Lovely Vintage finish with subtle traces of metallic gold gilt peeking through a gray painted overwash. The paint color is beautifully mutable, changing from cool to warm grey with the light. This artisan frame is perfect for Vintage or modern artworks. Excellent vintage condition. This was purchased with a second smaller frame with floral carvings by the same maker; please see my listings for that item.
