A striking modernist work that presents a scene fragmented into angular planes and interlocking blocks of colour, evoking figures and structures emerging within an imagined landscape, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1972.

Though abstracted, one can sense the suggestion of human presence and architectural forms – perhaps a house, a figure, and surrounding terrain reduced to their essential geometric components.

Rendered in a modernist style, the composition is built from flat, faceted shapes that tessellate across the canvas, creating a rhythmic mosaic. The artist has employed a harmonious yet lively palette of muted peach, terracotta, sage green, browns, dusty pink, teal, and pale blues. These tones shift softly across the surface, creating subtle contrasts and spatial tension without harsh division.
