This stunning high-quality oil on canvas Fine Art Reproduction painting of Caravaggio's The Cardsharps will grace any room with old-world elegance. The mid-century painting is set in a newer ornate gold resin-cast frame nailed onto a wood frame.
Caravaggio was a master Italian painter and created the original in c.1594. In this painting, the players are engaged in an early version of Poker, the game of Primero. The dupe has his back turned to the viewer and is cheating, holding two cards that are placed under his belt.
The painting is signed A. Mark.
