Crafted in China during the Han dynasty, this terracotta wine vessel, called a Hu vessel, features a generous pear-shaped belly resting on a flaring base and topped with a narrow neck and flaring mouth. Unglazed, the piece is simply adorned with incised motifs and lateral decorative elements allowing for a better grip. With its nicely weathered appearance and great age, this Han Hu vessel will make for an exquisite addition to any home, perhaps displayed on the top of a credenza, buffet or console table. See less
