This is a RARE "unfindable" set of 5 furniture etchings. We purchased these in France. They feature setees in a … Read more This is a RARE "unfindable" set of 5 furniture etchings. We purchased these in France. They feature setees in a verticle format. Documentation on the bottom refers to given "names" to each of the pieces. They are the works of Auguste Pequegnot (1819-1878) who was a painter and engraver. They came from a publication published in 1878. Pequegnot did series of elaborate furnishings of carved wood and the textiles in the Louis XVI, XVII, and XVIII periods. They are quite rare and are in excellent antique condition consistent with age and history. They have a beautiful antique patina. Please note that there are some indications of age along the border edges which will not show once matted and framed. They have the original lithograph plate marks visible at the borders. The collection of 5 make for interesting and rare wall decor. They measuring 10 x 12.5 inches in size. See less
