This modernist bar cart/trolley was probably designed by Art Deco designer and architect Robert Mallet-Stevens. France in the 1930s. The two levels are made from brown wood with a very rare Bakelite surface fixed at a chrome-plated steel frame, the upper one (tray) can be removed. On both sides are 3 bottle holders. The complete trolley is also made of chromed steel. It remains in a nice vintage condition with signs of use (loss of some chrome) consistent with age. The four wheels are original in good vintage condition. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
