Napoleon III period marquetry writing desk. This piece of furniture opens with a door framed by two gilt bronze columns and reveals a storage compartment and two small drawers. A large drawer surrounds the desk and a writing tablet that folds out and rests on the open drawer. The writing desk rests on four legs connected by a crossbar topped with a covered gilt bronze urn. Beautiful marquetry with floral decoration. Very good condition.
DIMENSIONS: 0.67m wide, 0.45m deep, and 1.36m high.
