Large antique Anglo Indian porcupine quill box, c.1900
A good size box with good looking geometric inset quills in ebony trim. Made in Ceylon, now Sri Lanka, as a local folk art using naturally shed quills. The lid has a brass carrying handle. The interior is felt lined with decoration to the lid. Good antique condition with all quills and dots intact. Recently waxed and polished.
