A masterful example of Art Nouveau design, this multi-handled Tyg—or Loving Cup—was created by the renowned Loetz glass works around 1900. The vessel features a luminous iridescent green body adorned with a finely engraved silver overlay by Alvin (marked “999” purity and no. G351). The overlay unfolds in a fluid composition of loose, entwined tendrils and stylized flower heads.
An engraved central cartouche bearing the letter “S” suggests a personalized or commemorative intent, indicating that this piece was conceived for display or ceremonial presentation rather than everyday use.
