Chinese porcelain Famille Rose Qilin vase, imperial yellow glaze with faint light brown highlights on the body and the inset … Read more Chinese porcelain Famille Rose Qilin vase, imperial yellow glaze with faint light brown highlights on the body and the inset base, a white glaze on the lip, foot and interior. Decorated with frolicking finely drawn red Qilins encircling ornate floral medallions quartered on the body, all in low relief, amid interspersed stylized polychrome clouds and red flower medallions, which are repeated on the inset base. A band of Polychrome Ru Yi lappets decorates the upper neck and a larger band of floral lappets decorates the foot, ending in a narrow turquoise band bracketed by red circles above and below. A blue and white Yongzheng reign mark within double blue squares is glazed to the inset base. Circa late 19th century vase, no later than mid century. See less
