The painter’s brushwork evokes the serene rhythm and balance of Ming-dynasty “Kosometsuke” landscapes, reinterpreted through the Japanese Arita kilns of the mid-20th century.

The scalloped rim and fluid cobalt shading pay homage to 17th-century Chinese Ming aesthetics, while the seven kiln spur marks on the base and pale celadon-tinged glaze reflect traditional Edo-period Japanese craftsmanship.
