This bench, also called a kitchen or trundle bench, was used to store bedding. At night the seat would be removed and the insert pulled out to create an extra bed. This bench disassembles easily into three pieces but it is fully functional and sturdy as a storage bench when it is assembled. The Gustavian blue gray paint is recent, but painted in an antique, distressed manner. The wood seat of the bench is strong and distress painted with spaces in between the slats, though it is sturdy. For a rustic look the bench can be used without the custom made linen tie-on cushion. Use the linen cushion for a more formal, finished appearance.

The seat is 19" from the floor and measures 67.5"L x 20.5"D
The arms are 33"H
