Louis Rhead – La Femme au Paon (1897)
Original 1897 lithograph La Femme au Paon (The Woman with the Peacock) by Louis Rhead, published in L’Estampe Moderne and printed by L’Imprimerie Champenois, Paris. One of the most admired compositions of the series, it depicts a woman surrounded by stylized peacock feathers — a hallmark of the Art Nouveau movement. Rhead’s design blends British decorative influence with the flowing elegance that defined fin-de-siècle Paris.
