Consisting of three sections (the main body, a door, and a transom), the iron is arranged in a lattice of squares with large prickets on each edge. The prickets have traces of old gold paint, providing subtle accents to the orange-brown hued iron. A thick band adorns the L-shaped transom, with protruding scalloped shells placed every five and a half inches. Four pintle hinges affixed to the transom align with gudgeons on the gate door, allowing our Medieval-style gate to be used functionally as an exterior entryway to a rose garden or pool area. It can also be used as an interior architectural, such as a wine cellar door. See less
