The desk has a pullout leaf on each end. The front of the desk has five brass trimmed dovetailed drawers. One long drawer in the center flanked by smaller drawers on the sides. The hardware is all brass, the center drawer has a working lock and key. the backside of the desk is the same of the front with brass hardware detail only please look the second picture of the listing is the backside, The four supporting legs are tapered and fluted. the French louis XVI Writing Desk are solid and very sturdy and in very condition.
