Set of eight hand-colored engravings depicting elaborate garden fountains from Architectura Curiosa Nova by Georg Andreas Böckler, the celebrated 17th-century German architect and hydraulic engineer.
Beautifully presented with French matting accented by ink lines and watercolor washes, each piece is housed in a mottled green and brown frame with gilt liner and retains a Christie’s label on the verso.
A rare and elegant set, ideal for creating a gallery wall in a living room, hallway, or study—or as a sophisticated display in an architecture or design studio.
