A generously scaled Celadon Temple Censer presented as a table lamp. Such pieces have a long history in Asia and were used in temples to burn incense and are hand decorated with auspicious objects - such as dragons and lotus flowers in this case. This glazed piece is Ming in style with dragon handles, and a Greek key pattern around the neck, and stylised clouds below. The green shades vary from the palest of gentle green to a rich emerald green in some areas.
Artist signed on the underside. Possibly Tai See Kon.
Topped with a brass cover and adjustable fixture. If the shade is required - it is a pale jade green raw silk shade. (**Please let us know if this is needed as it will need to be shipped separately.
A magnificent and hugely impressive piece.
