How about this DYNAMIC DUO!!!! I mean… HELLO!!!!! This is a FABULOUS pair of Industrial surgical floor lamps by Wilmot Castle Company, Rochester, New York with fantastic textured metal frames w/chrome accents, adjustable arms & globes, & 4 prong bases with casters. And although to the “naked eye” they appear to be identical… they have a couple of minor differences… but seriously, you must look really close to decipher the two. The switch for one lamp is on the arm while the other has an inline switch & one lamp has a decorative reflective accent on the base surrounding the shaft, while the other does not… as I said… minor aesthetic differences but they are BOTH AWESOME!!!! They bear an all-over marvelous vintage aged patina that is only created through the hands of time. Just think of the stories they could share if only they could speak!!! They will add just the right touch of Industrial design to your living room standing alongside your favorite lounge chair, in a dressing area, or next to the desk in your study. They are wonderful used in a room together or if you prefer, conveniently roll them into separate rooms. Either way they exude a gorgeous glow, stylish functionality, versatility, and a unique, vintage aura sure to “light up your life” for years to come!!
Wilmot Castle & Company was founded in Rochester, New York in 1883 by Wilmot V. Castle with the idea to manufacture sheet metal specialties. In 1903, the company was incorporated as Wilmot Castle Co., built a modern manufacturing plant in Rochester, & they transitioned to making sterilization and bacteriological equipment for hospitals, labs, & other medical & dental uses. One product of the firm was the “steam cooker” devised by William E. Arnold in 1930, & with a few modifications by Herbert E. Smith, the device was suitable for laboratory work & is now listed in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. In 1959, they were acquired by Ritter Company, again in 1987 by MDT Corp., and in 1996 became part of the Getinge Group. Wilmot Castle Co., no longer exists, but the Getinge Group maintains a highly reputable presence in the Rochester area and because of the Wilmot Castle Company’s historical legacy, Rochester is now considered the “Cradle of Sterilization.”
There you have it… this pair of Industrial surgical floor lamps by Wilmot Castle Company has it ALL… They’re highly functional, bear a unique Industrial presence, and exude an AMAZING ambiance. You know you love them… So, just make them YOURS!!
