This new print was created by a Roman artist who specializes in colorized versions of historical prints, reinterpreting the black and white originals. The rich colors - the red of a royal crest, the burnt-orange rooves of Rome, the blue sky - bring classical scenes and history to life. The print is traditionally framed in black with gold inset trim.

On the left side of the print appears: 78/150, represented in Roman numerals. On the right is: Interpratazione cromatica [colored interpretation] in tecnica mista di Marcella Morlacchi [artist] – Roma, 1997. Signed in pencil and stamped. See photos. Purchased at a gallery in Rome.

Conservation framing with acrylic. Print is preserved in original condition and not glued.
Measures: 57”W x 26”H (rectangle shape).

*Please note that there are vertical "light lines" that run throughout the piece. When the original B&W view was printed, the folds in the image appeared as vertical, yellowish lines in the colorized print. This is NOT light damage nor fading. The print has never been hung and recently framed. See less
