18th century, Italy, richly detailed handcrafted workmanship, having a tall narrow rectangular case, with a hinged top opening to a spacious shallow storage compartment, above a pair of large cupboard doors decorated in early fleurs-de-lis and foliate scrolls inlays, retaining the original hand forged iron hardware with working lock and key, enclosing a sturdy adjustable-height shelf, and the ability to add additional shelves, all rising on carved walnut bracket feet.

A scarce museum quality example in very good original antique condition, especially considering its age. Attractive appearance, retaining the original warm mellow patina, authentic antique character and rustic charm throughout!

Strong, sturdy, stable, structurally sound. Wear commensurate with age, use, handling and display, including scattered nicks, chips, abrasions, accretions, very slightly askew door when closed, all typical character that can only be acquired over a very long period of time!
