An elegant 18th-century French Louis XV duchesse en bateau, carved from walnut with a gracefully curved back, scrolling arms, and cabriole legs. The frame shows the soft irregularities and hand-cut joinery characteristic of genuine 1700s craftsmanship.
Structurally solid and professionally stabilized, with age separations discreetly filled and reinforced while retaining its original form and patina. Newly upholstered in Crypton Performance Linen (Snow) for a clean, durable finish that contrasts beautifully with the warm walnut frame. The cushion is fluffy and firm down as well as the pillow.
A refined and authentic piece of French history—comfortable, sculptural, and ready to place.
