19th Century Bohemian Gilded Cut Crystal Vase
Bohemian glassmaking originated in the Czech Republic and is known for its craftsmanship and intricate designs. The deep red color, known as ruby glass, is achieved by adding gold salts to the molten glass, a technique rediscovered in the 17th century. The gilded enamel details and ruffled rim are characteristic of decorative glass from the 19th century.
