The bowl bears areas of natural discoloration that speak to its hand-carved origins. A small metal plug repair—where molten metal was poured to stabilize the wood—remains intact, a beautiful testament to the maker’s care and the resourceful traditions of early Scandinavian craftsmanship. The underside markings and date (1826, N. PERSSON) are legible, and the bowl is sturdy, clean, and completely usable. See less
