A very fine Louis XIII style mid-century desk in solid oak from the second half of the 19th century, highly crafted.
It rests on four twisted turned legs connected by an H-shaped crossbar, also twisted, and finished with four balls.
Our desk opens on the front with two drawers fitted with two wrought iron teardrop handles.
The entire front is carved with a lovely decoration representing leafy garlands.
The framed top has a fully embellished perimeter with beautiful bec de corbin work and a frieze formed of semicircles. There are two keys. Height under crossbar 58. Minor light losses on the top due to the age of the desk.
