This charming, heavily textured bowl is a quintessential piece of Mid-Century Studio Pottery, celebrated for its grounded simplicity and raw material honesty. The piece is defined by a striking two-tone finish: the lower half features matte, unglazed or dark black textured stoneware, while the upper portion and interior are coated in a speckled, crackle tan glaze. The juxtaposition of the rough, dark base and the luminous, delicate crackle finish creates a visual harmony that is both rustic and sophisticated.
Perfectly suited for small servings, or simply displayed as a unique decorative item on a console or coffee table, this bowl adds an immediate sense of warmth and artisanal integrity. Its robust construction and naturalistic color palette make it an excellent addition to Rustic, Industrial, or Boho Chic interiors. It is in great vintage condition; the extensive crackle in the glaze is intentional (craquelure), adding desirable patina and visual depth. The bowl measures W 6" x D 6" x H 3.2". Acquire this beautifully textural piece to enhance your curated collection.
