Pictured here is a fabulous Farberware chrome cocktail shaker. It is Art Deco in style with a lid for the top and a screw down stopper for the spout. It is Signed "Farberware Brooklyn, NY" indicating a date of production prior to 1944 (when the company moved to the Bronx. It’s Age is estimated to be ca 1935. The shaker is 11.5 tall, 7" wide, and 5" deep.
It’s in good vintage condition with wear commensurate with age and use. Minor surface scratches, scuffs, etc. There are some splits to the metal of the top cap that I have photographed. I work with a lot of vintage and antique barware and it’s fairly common to see this kind of wear as these were shaken a lot in there life’s and if the owner put a lot of pressure on top this occurred. I would advise to use this shaker to pour drinks that were already shaken and for display because the splits may break with vigorous use. The widest measurement is from the tip of spout to the edge of handle at 8 inches.
