An iconic example of Italian modernism, this set of four (4) original Plia folding chairs was designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in the late 1960s. Celebrated for its innovative three-disc folding mechanism and minimalist transparency, the Plia became a design revolution combining form, function, and timeless style in a single, elegant piece.
Each of these four (4) chairs has the original maker's mark sticker affixed to the underside of the bottom rail, "PLIA DSC DIVISIONE SEDIE CASTELLI ITALY".
This set of chairs is perfect for entertaining, as the frames fold smoothly and remain sturdy and structurally sound. These iconic chairs store easily and look absolutely incredible when in use.
When unfolded for use, each chair is 29" H, 18.5" D, and 18" W. The seat is 17.5" H, 16" D, and 16" W. When folded, the four (4) chairs are approximately 35" H, 5.5" W, and 6.5" D.
