Royal Copenhagen, Denmark, Aluminia Faience Tranquebar blue pattern oval vegetable tureen with lid. Blue tulip framed by basket weave design and blue flower finial.
Measures 11 1/2" x 7 3/4" x 6" tall.
Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Hallmarks at base, marked 11/921
The Tranquebar service was created in 1914 by the painter Christian Joachim. Original production started at the Aluminia factory in 1914 and was continued by Royal Copenhagen in 1969.
The service was named Tranquebar after the old Danish colony in India.
