Elegant set of six antique Landers, Frary & Clark “Aetna Works” fruit knives, dating from approximately 1890–1905.
Each knife features a luminous mother-of-pearl handle, a finely detailed sterling-silver ferrule stamped STERLING, and a gently curved silver-plated blade marked LANDERS, FRARY & CLARK – AETNA WORKS.
Produced at the historic Aetna Works factory in New Britain, Connecticut, these knives exemplify late Victorian to early Edwardian craftsmanship.
Designed for the fruit or dessert course, their refined size and materials reflect the grace and sophistication of turn-of-the-century dining.
