The rugs woven in Chichi havee very fine weaving, the design composition is a series of tightly arranged floral motifs, constellations and amulets. No hesitation to say that the most distinctive feature of the Chichi rugs is the border. Often seen narrowly arranged, multiple borders filled with continuous rosettes and parallel rectangular boxes.

This piece in the example futures a characteristic blue field slightly mixed with green, brick tones of red, a nude yellow and ivory. Compositional richness of the design elements points that a labor intense weaving process was accomplished in almost at a 'perfect' level, which gives the eyes a great movement. The ribbed back is indicative of a northern origin. Very desirable and collectible piece.
