A striking and expressive mid-century still life painting that depicts a rustic tabletop arrangement, executed in oil onto canvas.

The composition presents two elongated fish that rest prominently upon a wooden cutting board. Alongside them are three deep red onions, a stout bottle with a cork, and a tin. Additional small objects are scattered across the scene, creating a sense of domestic simplicity.

Executed in bold, expressive brushstrokes, the artist has used a palette of earthy reds, cool blues, muted greens, and creamy whites, offset by the dramatic dark tones of the draped cloth beneath the objects.
