Magnificent antique cast brass double inkwell with an integrated letter holder, richly detailed in the Baroque or early Edwardian French Louis XIV style. The piece features scrollwork, classical figures, and ornate decorative motifs throughout—an impressive display of craftsmanship and design from a bygone era.
This substantial desk accessory measures 14" wide x 8" deep x 8" high and weighs over 10 pounds. The inkwell lids open smoothly, though the glass inserts are not included. The brass has not recently been polished, retaining its authentic antique patina with areas of tarnish and discoloration, consistent with age and use.
