These stools stand as extraordinary examples of 19th-century Italian decorative art.
Each stool is crowned with four finely carved lion heads at the corners holding the arm rests, symbols of power and guardianship. The legs end in bold claw feet, rendered with striking anatomical precision, and are connected by a pair of forward facing dragons, their claws holding a shield of an ancient house in mesmerizing detail. A hallmark of Aimone’s imaginative Gothic style.

The centre of each seat features a mythological face with bat-like wings, an intricate Gothic motif that evokes both mystery and medieval grandeur. Both stools are topped with their original woven green upholstery, which remains in remarkably good condition. Finished with a soft golden trim and skirt. complementing the warm oak patina and enhancing the overall richness of the design.
