Crafted in wood with black-painted iron bands, these 19th- to early 20th-century grain measures were once essential for weighing and transporting dry goods in markets and farms. The stamped "Bushel" marking, accompanied by a crown and "GR" insignia, signifies their government certification for accuracy in trade. Worn patina and subtle signs of age tell the story of their use, making them not just functional but also deeply rooted in history.

Perfect for today’s interiors, these oversized vessels make striking decorative accents. Fill them with firewood beside a hearth, or use them as rustic planters for greenery in a country kitchen or garden. Their deep, circular form lends itself well to creative storage—think rolled-up throws in a cozy living room or even as unconventional side tables when topped with a round tray. Whether styled in a traditional home or adding contrast to a modern space, these antique measures bring warmth, character, and a timeless appeal. See less
