Large decorative terracotta bowl by Denijs Goossens (b. 1939), one of Belgium’s most respected postwar sculptors and educators.
The bowl is finished with graphite glaze on the exterior and a turquoise interior glaze, enriched by a hand-inscribed motif. Signed and stamped underneath.
Goossens’ practice spans sculpture in wood, stone, marble, and bronze. His works often embody a tactile dialogue between form and material—a quality that is fully expressed in this vessel.
