A captivating and substantial vintage ceramic sculpture depicting a young child playfully clutching a goose, rendered in a lustrous white glaze. Standing an impressive 21 inches tall, this expressive piece is signed Scioto © 1989 along the base and bears the initials C.M. on the underside. The glossy monochrome surface highlights its graceful modeling and whimsical character — blending neoclassical charm with mid-century romanticism. Originally produced by Scioto Ceramics of Ohio, a studio renowned for its detailed casting molds and artisan-quality ceramic forms popular with decorators through the 1980s. A striking statement piece for a console, entryway, or mantel — equally at home in Hollywood Regency, Cottagecore, or Eclectic Grandmillennial interiors.
Will be professionally packaged by UPS to help ensure its safe arrival at its new home. Please message me if you have any questions.
