A captivating and substantial vintage ceramic sculpture depicting a young child playfully clutching a goose, rendered in a lustrous white glaze. Standing an impressive 21 inches tall, this expressive piece is signed Scioto © 1989 along the base and bears the initials C.M. on the underside. The glossy monochrome surface highlights its graceful modeling and whimsical character — blending neoclassical charm with mid-century romanticism. Originally produced by Scioto Ceramics of Ohio, a studio renowned for its detailed casting molds and artisan-quality ceramic forms popular with decorators through the 1980s.
