The finish shows some minor wear: minimal paint scuff on the top and a wood ding on one foot. It retains all original hardware. Drawers glide smoothly and the paint replicates that gorgeous 18th design element with a silver edging band adorning the perimeter and done to resembke distressed silverleaf. The blue motif design on top, appears a slate blue, with purple casting. It's simply a wonderfully, hand designed and handpainted desk! less
