It is a fine English George III Period Pembroke table in richly patinated mahogany with boxwood inlay. Its squared, tapered legs that are unusually slender—a detail that bridges classical refinement and unexpected modern ease.
A fine example of late Georgian craftsmanship, this English George III mahogany Pembroke table (circa 1800) features a moulded hinged top that opens above a frieze with one working drawer and one false drawer, each edged in delicate boxwood stringing and fitted with original brass handles and escutcheons.
The table is raised on unusually slender square tapering legs, ending in brass cups and casters—an elegant detail that lends the piece a timeless lightness and a surprisingly modern sensibility.
