J.G. McAlister was the original company, originating in 1926, that turned into Bardwell – McAlister when the partnership was formed in the 1940’s.

We bought a large lot of these lights back in the 1980’s directly from Paramount Studios storage. Most were labeled “DESILU” which is the production company that shot the I LOVE LUCY TV shows of the 50’s.

The Desilu Studios were sold to Paramount in the 60’s and that is who owned these lights when we purchased them. All have been sold but three.

This light was very likely used on the I LOVE LUCY sound stage based on the photos of the Desilu sets we have seen.

The light is stenciled "PARAMOUNT ELECT." and that is an original certified stencil label.

This is a true piece of Hollywood history. None of these lights remain on the market that we can find. We have the last 3. This one is the nicest.
