An elegant mid-century still life composition that presents a pared-back arrangement of a single green pear alongside a white pitcher, executed in oil onto canvas.

The painting is striking in its simplicity, emphasising the quiet relationship between form, line, and negative space.

Painted in a restrained modernist style, the artist has used clean, confident brushstrokes and a limited palette of muted greys, soft blues, and creamy whites, punctuated by the fresh, vivid green of the pear.
