About the Poster :
This map is part of a series of mini-maps showcasing different regions of France. Through colorful illustrations and typography, these lovely small-formats highlight the beauty of french geography. The maps are surrendered by an elegant gold lining and would look amazing framed.
Gascony was historically inhabited by peoples related to Basque, who seem to have spoken a language similar to Basque. The name Gascogne comes from the same root as the word Basque (see Wasconia below). From the Middle Ages to the present day, the Gascon language has been spoken, generally classified as a regional variety of the Occitan language.
In very good condition, this poster is a small gem and would be lovely in any environment.
