Standing 31 inches tall, this architectural salvage piece features an octagonal body with pierced diamond vents and a subtly flared rim.
Four of these chimney pots were imported from Scotland by a U.S. military family, all four originally serving together on the same Scottish chimney stack. The base still retains the extra section where the pot was mortared to the chimney — a rare survival that underscores their authenticity.
This pot was used outdoors as decorative element, but could easily be cleaned and enjoyed indoors as a sculptural pedestal or unique architectural accent, and is ready for your creative vision.

COLLECTOR'S NOTE:
Stoneware chimney pots like these were designed for both function and beauty. Salt glazing, achieved by tossing salt into the kiln at high heat, produced the speckled sheen you see on the surface, a hallmark of 19th-century Scottish and English architectural ceramics. Tough enough to survive a century of rooftop weather, they remain striking decorative accents indoors or out.
