A pair of French gilt bronze and patinated bronze candelabra, 19th Century.
The candelabra have two types of bronze finishes: a rich, dark patina on the cherub figures and a gilded bronze (ormolu) finish on the decorative elements and candle holders. Each candelabrum features a patinated bronze cherub, or putto, holding a two-light candelabra. The cherubs stand on square bases made of green onyx or similar marble, which are mounted with gilt bronze ornamentation on all sides and rest on ornate feet.
