A beautifully hand-crafted and vibrant cylindrical cloisonné tea caddy jar featuring a domed id with rich polychrome enamel design. The body displays stylized lotus and peony blossoms in red, blue and green amid foliate scrolls on a yellow ground with an intricate fret pattern. The lid and interior are finished in classic turquoise blue enamel, a hallmark of quality cloisonné work. The top features a bronze finial and perforated insert. The base is covered with old, green felt.

The metal shows patina, there is age-related wear to the inside and the old felt is tattered and loose. The lid fits and comes on/off as it should. I do not see any loss to the enamel or dents to the body anywhere in the piece. I am happy to answer any questions you may have prior to purchase or to send more photos if needed. less
