The baluster-shaped body rises from a slightly flared foot and swells into broad shoulders before tapering to an elegant, widely splayed rim (with an opening measuring 14" diameter). Across the entire surface a fine network of craquelure—created when the glaze cools faster than the clay—adds depth, movement, and the softly mottled tonality prized by collectors.

The pale green hue is a modern homage to Song-dynasty celadon, yet the jar’s crisp proportions and high-fired stoneware body reflect later-20th-century production methods aimed at durability for interior display.
