Modernist Swivel Tulip Style armchair and footstool by Daystrom, 1971. Armchair features plastic frame and steel Saarinen Style pedestal base. Vinyl upholstery. Footstool is the base from another matching Daystrom armchair. The top of the stool is slightly off-center and angled (ideal for a footstool; see photos). Maker's tag and date stamped under seat (see photos). Some paint chips to chair base; a couple spots to upholstery; stains to cardboard dust covers to underside of seats (see photos). From a Woodbury, Connecticut 1960s cantilevered style modernist home.
The set presents very well.
