Bramwell in 1849 who was likely a student of Sir Thomas Lawrence using an illustration by Sir Thomas Lawrence from his earlier hand-tinted engravings of 1837 that was featured in P.G. Patmore's Cabinet of Gems.
English portrait painter Sir Thomas Lawrence (1769–1830). Lawrence was a child prodigy who became one of the most prominent portrait painters of his generation.
He was known for his elegant and expressive portraits and his ability to capture the likeness and character of his subjects.

He was a key figure in the Romantic movement, which emphasized emotion and the individual.
