This antique rectangular-shaped mirror from France features beautifully decorative, Rococo style, three-dimensionally carved leafy scrolls, set within the surround, framed with a flat exterior molding. The mirror's surround is gesso over gilded wood, gold with remnants of old paint, nicely aged with small areas of chipping, and antiqued glass center. This 19th century French mirror, with its gilded and curling leaves, stands just over 3.5 feet in height, and would be a lovely option adorning the wall above an entry foyer or bedroom commode.
