This is a pocket stereoscope consisting of a small box made of hinged wooden boards. When the box is opened, the frame that composes the device unfolds. The stereoscopic views are inserted into the frame through a special slot. Each eyepiece contains a thin square prismatic lens. The fields of vision of the eyes are separated by a strip of black cloth. The lid of the box acts as a screen for stray light. A series of photographs are supplied with the viewer, as shown in the listing.
