Trumpet-form vase of white porcelain with a slightly flared rim and round pedestal foot.
• The body is hand-painted with a bright polychrome bouquet of garden flowers:.
• The rim and the foot have gilded bands; the painting style is in line with Meissen’s “Deutsche Blumen” (German flowers) decoration, popular since the 18th century and reproduced throughout the 19th–20th centuries.
The Meissen mark shown in the image, featuring the crossed swords with a dot between the top of the blades, was used during the period of 1924-1934. This specific variation of the crossed swords mark is associated with the Max Adolf Pfeiffer era at the Meissen factory.
